‘Revival 50’ Ready To Roll This Saturday At Cornwall Motor Speedway
Story By: MARTIN BÉLANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – After a successful first attempt on June 6th, the Lavergne family to present a second event this Saturday, June 27 with the ‘’Revival 50’’ being presented at 7pm on the web at 360nitro.tv with 4 classes in action.
With social distancing still in effect in Ontario, the event will be held with no fans in the grandstands and we will continue our partnership with 360nitro.tv as the show will be broadcast in both English and French. The cost will be $24.95 in Canadian and $19.95 in US funds.
The numbers are in! A total of 37 Modifieds, 15 Pro-Stock, 20 Lightning Sprints and 13 Vintage will be on hand this Saturday.
The best of Ontario and Quebec will be on hand which includes all 2019 canadian track champions which are Corey Wheeler, David Hebert, Ryan Arbuthnot, Steve Bernier, Gary Lindberg along with Mohawk champion, Chris Raabe. Winner on June 6th, Dany Gagné will want to defend his crown in front of Yan Bussière, Steve Bernard, Michael Parent, Luke Whitteker, Carey Terrance, Dalton Slack, Mario Clair and many others that will want take one of the 30 spots available for the 50-lap event.
For the 35-lap Pro-Stock event, a good mix of local and invaders will assemble the field of 15 cars that have answered the call, the count would have been higher if the Canada-USA border would allow our american friends to attend.
Offering a quality show, the Lightning Sprints will bring 20 competitors for the 25-lap race as the Vintage will complete the program with a 20-lap event.
We are monitoring the weather situation closely as a rain date was already setup for Sunday evening, we will inform everyone accordingly as we will get closer to the event.
A third event is currently in the works and will be scheduled on July 11, the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman, Assist2Sell Mini-Stock and Mod-Lite are confirmed for the ‘’Corona Crusher 50’’ as complete details will be announced shortly as we are looking to add 1 more to the fold.
Interest from race teams to compete at the speedway is really high as we expect some great field of cars in each division in July as well.
