Short Track Super Series Signs Title Sponsor Of Events To Be Held In North Carolina
Story By: BRETT DEYO / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – BRASSTOWN, NC – Since its announcement less than a week ago, the “Return to Racing” for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has gained notoriety in the Northeast and beyond.
Now, the Thursday, May 21 and Friday, May 22 event at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C., has a headline partner.
Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply of Hurlock, Md., has signed on as the title sponsor of the “Return to Racing” at Ray Cook’s high-banked, red-clay facility.
Via the agreement with the BD Motorsports Media LLC event promotion team, more than $2,000 has been added to the pay structures inside the top-10 positions over the two nights of racing (this is before the Venmo and PayPal cash that has been raised thus far totaling $850) and the Thursday night feature will increase to 40 laps with the Friday main increasing to 50 laps.
A number of cash bonuses and other awards are adding up for eligible competitors heading south to North Carolina.

The “Return to Racing” for the Short Track Super Series takes place without the presence of fans on-site. Both nights will be broadcast live, exclusively, on Dirt Track Digest TV.
Currently, 31 teams are eligible to compete in this event, marking the first Northeast Modified event since March 8, albeit on Tarheel State soil.
