Brett Michalski Recovers To Finish 14th During Lincoln Speedway’s Icebreaker Saturday Afternoon
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRETT MICHALSKI MOTORSPORTS – PENNDEL, PA – Brett Michalski opened his 2020 campaign like many others in the Central PA racing scene and made the trip to the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway for the annual Icebreaker 30 on Saturday, February 22.
Although Michalski’s end-result was outside of the top-ten, crossing the line 14th at the conclusion of the 30-lap, $4,000-to-win program, it was the path to obtain that result that was most impressive, ultimately forced to go to the tail twice before recovering to finish four spots out of the top ten.
Michalski, driver of the Brett Michalski Motorsports/JR Michalski Heating & Air Conditioning/Irish Rover Station House/York by Johnson Controls/Wood Services/Richboro Pub/Maxim Chassis/Don Ott Racing Engines/Kriner Engines/Penske Shocks/VP Racing Fuels/Hoosier Tire/Wings Unlimited/Racer’s Used and New Parts Warehouse/CR Graphix/SC Signs/Pyrotect/Hinchman Indy/No. 73B sprint car, kicked-off his evening in the Pigeon Hills with a sixth place finish during his respective heat race.
“It wasn’t the end-result we were looking for, but I’m proud of my team for never giving up,” Brett Michalski said, a former Lincoln Speedway 410 Rookie of the Year. “It was a beautiful day and the crowd was unbelievable. I’m just happy we had the opportunity to race.”
Brett Michalski and Brett Michalski Motorsports will return to competition at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday afternoon, February 29.
