All Five Divisions Back Plus Enduro Qualifier On The Card This Friday At Mohawk Int’l
Story By: TIM BALTZ / MOHAWK INT’l RACEWAY – HOGANSBURG, NY – For the first time since opening day, May 24th, all five divisions will be on the card this coming Friday night at the Mohawk International Raceway.
The Twin Leaf Stores 358 Modifieds will be back after a week away from the speedway and Madison Mulder will be looking to grab his 2nd straight win. Drivers like Chris Raabe, Brian McDonald, Lance Willix, Louie Jackson Jr. and defending track champion Tim Fuller will be ready to get to victory lane and will give Mulder all he can handle. Raabe comes in to the night as the current point leader.
The Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman saw a brand-new winner with Brian Hudson from Adams, New York, stopping the streak of Shane Pecore by claiming the Pete Mitchell Memorial qualifier, which guarantees him at least a 13th starting spot in the Pete Mitchell Memorial Sportsman event on July 15th. They will be on the card for a regular 25 lap feature go.
Novice Sportsman saw it’s third different winner in three events with Nolan Swamp edging out Gavin Riddell for the win, 2017 track champion Nick Mallette held off a very determined Kevin Foster to claim the Mod Lite win and Francis White went back to back in the Bandit division over Matt Zira.
Plenty of action will be in store this coming Friday and the best way to view it is buy a ticket at the main gate and take in the action from the grandstands. A reminder that Canadian money is accepted at par and another friendly reminder that if you are coming from Canada, grab a receipt at the toll booth, present it at the main gate and receive a free bridge pass.
