Utica-Rome Speedway Can’t Catch A Break; Racing Cancelled For Wednesday, May 15th

Story By: UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY – VERNON, NY – Unfortunately tonight’s racing program at Utica-Rome Speedway has been cancelled.

With all the rain the last three days the grounds have not dried out enough and we have a forecast of more than this evening scheduled for our start time. In order to save everyone the travel time we wanted to make this decision early.

We appreciate all the support we received for this show, but Mother Nature just continues to not be our friend.

Our next race is scheduled for this Sunday, May 19 as the Utica-Rome Kartway comes to life. Racing is scheduled to go green at 1pm. Hot laps is at noon with gates opening at 10am.

The next big track event is slated for Memorial Day Weekend. On Sunday, May 26 we have the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, DirtTrackDigest.com DIRTcar 358-Modifieds, the VP Racing Fuels Summer Shootout Sportsman Series and the Bernie’s Extreme Performance Rookie Sportsman. Racing gets under at 6pm.
