Jordan McCreadie, Patrick Dupree Sign With Moody Mile Motorsports For 2019 358-Modified Season
Story By: MOODY MILE MOTORSPORTS – SARANAC LAKE, NY – Driver of the #9J, Jordan McCreadie, son of hall of famer “Barefoot” Bob McCreadie, has joined team owner, Wes Moody and will be running a full 358 Modified racing schedule including local track, Airborne Park Speedway.
McCreadie, hailing from Watertown, NY has made a name for himself frequenting tracks such as Can-Am Speedway, Brockville, Fulton Speedway, Evans Mills and Mohawk International Speedway and has held the checkered flag at all.
“I’m super excited to have the opportunity to drive for someone like Wes.” Says, McCreadie. “It takes a lot of stress off of me financially but makes me more focused on being competitive and getting results.”
McCreadie will be replacing Mark Johnson who ran for Moody Motorsports in the 2018 season.
“We hate losing Mark,” says Moody. “He is a super competitor and we enjoyed our time with him. He will be racing the 2019 season with a big block team and we wish him lots of luck.”
Completing the MMM two car team will be #24 Patrick Dupree, Wes’ stepson, who had taken a year away from racing to expand his business, get married and finish building his home in Bloomingdale, NY. Under the helm of Moody, Dupree still holds the record for the winningest driver on asphalt at Airborne with 29 W’s, brought home two back to back track championships and two-time winner at the Steel Palace. Dupree also ran 2 seasons with the NASCAR Busch East Series finishing 15th in points respectively.
“We certainly were successful on asphalt and I am really excited to see what we’re capable of on dirt this year,” says Dupree. “Our goal is to immerse ourselves in the new technology and give 1,000 percent to the race team.”
Both McCreadie and Dupree will have some legendary talents in their pit stalls as both Bob McCreadie and Wes Moody will be their respective Crew Chiefs.
“I’m excited to be racing with one of my oldest, dearest friends,” Moody says. “I’m not sure Bob’s quote would be the same,” Moody laughs.
“This is going to be the coolest thing ever, getting to race with Jordan and one of my favorite drivers of all times. When I first started out in go karts as a kid at rt 58 Speedway, we raced against T- Mac (well more like chase him around) then we’d be off to watch Bob win somewhere. The McCreadies’ were always the guys to beat,” Dupree continues. “If we do half as well as Wes and Bob tell old stories, we will lock in track championships for sure.”
“Being able to bounce ideas off of both Wes and my dad and learn from their experience is priceless,” McCreadie adds. “Hopefully we’ll be able to get them both to the track a lot this year.”
Both drivers will be racing Friday Nights at Can- Am Speedway and Saturday Nights at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. Full schedule to follow.
