Outlaw Speedway Releases 2019 Schedule of Events
Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – The Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY has released their tentative 2019 schedule of events.
“We wanted to get this out as early as possible to let our loyal drivers, teams, fans, sponsors and employees what our plans are for the upcoming year. Not only does it give our regulars an opportunity to plan their own personal schedules for 2019, it also gives other race tracks a heads up on what we are doing particularly with Special Events and what dates they are running”. That according to track owner, Tyler Siri.
Siri then went on to say that, “When we are dealing with major touring groups like Brett Deyo’s STSS, the Super Dirtcar Series for Big Block Modifieds, Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Series, Vicki Emig’s Rush Crate Late Model Series as well as the World or Outlaw Late Model’s we have to book these dates several months in advance and in certain cases almost a year out to get them on the books. I think we have done a pretty good job in making sure we have secured nights for some of the most popular touring groups in the country.”
It should also be noted that a few changes will be made for 2019. The start time for regular Friday night shows has been pushed back one half hour to 7:30 pm in an attempt of giving more drivers and fans the opportunity to get to the track before the races start after a full day of work. Also, the Doug Gross Crate Late Models will only be running once per month instead of a weekly show not including any special events they like the RUSH Touring Series Event. In addition the 602 Crate Sportsman competitors will be allowed to compete not only on American Racer Tires, but with the new format a second class will be formed with those so choosing to run the Hoosier Tires. A full story relevant to the Hoosier/American Racer Tire Sportsman Divisions will be forthcoming including how the racers can compete in both classes.
