Dutch Hoag Triple 7’s Weekend Set To Go At Outlaw Speedway Oct. 19th & 20th

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – Since the last event was held at the Outlaw Speedway just a few weeks ago, track owner, Tyler Siri and his staff have not been resting on their laurels as everyone has been hard at work getting ready for the 3rd Annual Dutch Hoag Memorial Weekend at the track set to go on Friday and Saturday, October 19 and 20, 2018.

“The 3 to 4 week break between our last race and the upcoming Dutch Hoag weekend has really given us an opportunity to get the facility right where we want it for the final events of 2018, stated track owner Tyler Siri in a recent interview. We are going to mirror last year’s event which was a huge success by bringing back pretty much the same format and classes of competition.”

The 2017 Dutch Hoag Memorial Triple 7’s event drew just shy of 500 cars over the 2 days of competition and the stands were packed both days. With that Siri and his staff are gearing up for what is hoped to be a repeat performance.

Friday night’s action will see the 360 Sprints take to the 4/10 of a mile clay oval with a feature event paying $3,000 to the winner and $300 just to start. All the top ESS, Patriot Sprint Tour and URC drivers are expected to be on hand. Also on night one it will be the Hoosier Tire shod Crate Sportsman with the winner picking up $1,500 and the Decker Farmers Insurance IMCA Modifieds will race for $750 to win.

The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will run a special 15 lap Dash where the top two finishers will be locked into the front row for Saturday nights $7,000 to win, 70 lap Dutch Hoag tribute race. The Ole’ Master as he was called made history as one of the best ever in a Modified and Siri firmly believes it is only fitting to maintain the Dutch Hoag legacy throughout the region where he competed by giving the competitors an extra distance feature event on Saturday with a huge pay out!

Like the Modifieds, the classy Street Stocks will also run a special 15 lap Dash on Friday with the top two in that joining Kurt Stebbins and Glen Whritenour as guaranteed starters in Saturday’s $2,000 to win Empire 100 event. Lap money will also be dished out for all 100 laps!

Also on the Friday card it will be the mighty 4 Cylinders racing under Outlaw Speedway Rules as they will run a 30 lap feature for $750 to win plus lap money. Likewise the Decker Farmers Insurance Hobby Stocks racing under Outlaw Speedway rules will run a 30 lap feature paying $500 to the winner plus lap money.

Fridays pit and grandstand gate times as well as ticket pricing can be found on the tracks web site and Facebook page.

Then on Saturday, October 20, 2018 the gates will open early in the morning for day two and the final day of race action at the Outlaw Speedway for the 2018 campaign. On the card it will be a complete show of qualifying heats, consolation and feature events for the following classes: The Doug Gross Construction Crate Late Models paying $1,200 to win and $100 to start. The 600 Sprints with $600 to the winner. 4 cylinders using open rules and racing for $700 to win. Likewise the Marion Decker Hobby Stocks using open rules and paying the winner $500. Also on Saturday it will be the seventh and final race in the Outlaw Speedway American Racer Tire Crate Sportsman Series with the feature winner pocketing a cool $2,000. Lap money will also be paid as part of the Crate Sportsman feature event on Saturday. The IMCA Modifieds will return on Saturday for $1,000 to win and the before mentioned 70 lap Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modified feature event along with the Street Stock Empire 100.

Saturday’s gate and start times are moved up as this will be an afternoon/evening program and like Fridays events all the information relevant to times and prices are on the web.

Camping and parking are absolutely free all weekend at the track and as always free rides on the Outlaw Speedway Monster Truck; “Outlaw Crusher” are available each day.

Another delicious Chicken BBQ will great hungry fans and racers each day when the main gates open.
