Brock Zearfoss To Open 2018 Season At Port Royal & Williams Grove Openers

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – After months of preparation, Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss will finally have the opportunity to kick-off his 2018 season.

The 2017 Port Royal Speedway track champion will enter a pair of Central Pennsylvania openers during the upcoming weekend, first participating in an open practice on Thursday to officially get things on track.

“We’re ready to go,” Brock Zearfoss, pilot of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/No. 3Z sprint car, said. “We’ve been champing at the bit to get things rolling. We had a great season in 2017, so I’m confident we’ll be able to transfer that momentum over to the new year. We have a lot of racing planned for 2018. It all starts this weekend.”

Brock Zearfoss’ near-100 race schedule, which includes multiple double-duty programs where Zearfoss will enter 410 and 360 cubic inch competition, will begin on Saturday, March 10, at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal. The “Jonestown Jet” was a five-time winner at the Juniata County Fairgrounds half-mile in 2017, now chasing a $4,000 payday to kick-off 2018.

Opening weekend for the Brock Zearfoss Racing operation will continue on Sunday, March 11, with the Williams Grove Speedway season opener awarding a $3,600 top prize. Like at Port Royal Speedway, Zearfoss was successful at the Mechanicsburg half-mile, scoring two victories in 2017 including a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series triumph for car owner, Aaron Long. It was a first-ever World of Outlaws victory for the Pennsylvania Posse representative.

“There are a lot of great people who support this team. Without their help and dedicated support, an ambitious schedule like ours wouldn’t be possible,” Zearfoss continued. “The only thing we can do now is give back right away and look for a win during our opening weekend.”
