Busy 2018 Season On The Horizon For Lucas Ashe
Story By: LUCAS ASHE RACING – COTTENWOOD, CA – As the first month of the New Year quickly comes to an end, Lucas Ashe and Lucas Ashe Racing are pleased to unveil a busy 2018 schedule that will see the Cottonwood, CA pilot chase after points regularly on Friday nights in Chico, CA as well as with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour pres. by Abreu Vineyards.
Ashe will stay busy and also fill in dates at Petaluma Speedway, Placerville Speedway, and with the Civil War Series pres. by Flowmaster.
Towards the end of 2017, Ashe and LAR teamed with longtime mechanic and team owner, Jim Van Lare, pleased with the way things went the team will again work under the leadership of Van Lare in 2018.
“I am really excited to hit the season hard, and get some more seat time,” Lucas Ashe said. “We kind of had a quiet Fall in 2017 so I am really looking forward to getting to the track. I am excited to work with Jim Van Lare in 2018 as well. We were able to team up at the end of last year, and I think it went really well.”
As most team schedules are tentative before things get going, 2018 is shaping up to be an extremely busy season for the youngster. With 13 Silver Dollar Speedway point shows and 13 SCCT point shows, Ashe will still compete across the Golden State in upwards of 60 races total.
2017 saw Jester Auto Museum and Event Center partner with Lucas Ashe Racing, and in 2018 the company is back on board and will serve as the team’s primary sponsor during the team’s busy endeavor. New to the team in 2018 is Triple X Race Components, and Ashe is excited to make the chassis switch for the season ahead.
“It is great to see our team grow and attract some new partners,” Ashe added. “I am looking forward to running Triple X’s this season and I’m excited to give them some great results.”
With February quickly approaching, Ashe will kick his season off on February 24th at Marysville Raceway during the annual Sherm and Loree Toller Memorial.
