Patriot Sprints Championship Up For Grabs At Freedom Motorsports Park Friday
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – The return of the Patriot Sprints to Freedom Motorsports Park takes place this Friday, September 8. It will also be Championship Night for the Patriot Sprints as they crown their 2017 titlist on Bob McKerrow & Sons RV and Mesler Trucking Night.
Joining the Patriot Sprints will be the Crate Late Models, NY6A Micro Sprints and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday, September 8.

Located in Wellsville, Mesler Trucking is owned by Brad Mesler and provides timber hauling service in New York. Mesler is a long time campaigner in the Crate Late Models. He has won numerous features in the division at area tracks including victories at Freedom Motorsports Park and will be looking to add to his win column on Friday.
The $2000 to win Patriot Sprint show will be their first visit to Freedom since 2015 when Steve Collins took down his first ever win. The Patriot Sprint Championship will also be decided at Freedom. If you have never seen sprint cars at Freedom, you have missed some incredible racing as high speeds combined with a small track create breathtaking action. Previous winners of sprint races at Freedom include Jared Zimbardi, Bubba Broderick, Chris Muhleisen and Kyle Drum.
The first annual “Big Dog Saturday” at Freedom Motorsports Park will take place on Saturday, September 16. The ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models will make their third appearance of the year and will be joined by the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds, Pioneer Ford Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Plumbing Mini Stocks. It’s not often you get to see the high horsepower duo of Super Late Models and Outlaw Modifieds on the same race night in New York, so this is one event you don’t want to miss. The night is brought to you by Previty’s Auto Wrecking, Murphy’s Logging, Upstate Auto Group and Dialed Designs.
Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30 on Friday September 8. Adult grandstand admission for this special event is $18, $16 for Seniors, $9 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
