Big Dog Saturday Coming Up This Week At Freedom Motorsports Park
Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – If you have ever wanted the opportunity to see Super Late Models and Outlaw Modifieds on the same program, your wait is over.
On September 16, Freedom Motorsports Park presents the inaugural Big Dog Saturday as the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models and the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds headline the night.
This unique event is brought to you by Murphy’s Logging, Bob McKerrow & Sons RV, Upstate Auto Group, Previty’s Auto Wrecking and Dialed Designs. Also on the card will be the Pioneer Ford Street Stocks racing for $850 to win (with a bonus to the top three Pure Stocks) and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. Note the time and race day. The green flag is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Saturday September 16.
This will be the third visit of the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models. Max Blair and Dave Hess split the first two races. Can Max or Dave win the rubber match? Or, will 2017 Freedom top five finishers Greg Oakes, Brent Rhebergen, Brady Wonderling or Nathan Hill park their high horsepower machine in victory lane? Also, former Freedom Late Model winner Chad Ruhlman will make his return as a teammate to Hess.
2017 was the first year of the 850 horsepower Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds at Freedom. If you have not taken in an Outlaw Modified race at Freedom, you have missed the best modified racing you are going to see. With many of the area tracks closed, look for a stout field of invaders on Big Dog Saturday. Track Champion Adam Hilton as well as top five point men Ron Cartwright Jr., Billy Van Pelt, Shayne Pierce and Phil Vigneri III will be out to defend the home turf.
