McFadden excited To Join World Of Outlaws At Pevely For Ironman 55
Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / HIGHLANDS TIRE SERVICE RACING – PEVELY, MO – James McFadden and the Highlands Tire Service team will conclude their summer tour in the Midwest, starting with a return trip to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
“I love this place. Everyone I have talked to loves this place,” McFadden said of I-55, one of his favorite tracks in the country. “It’s an elbows up, racey little joint. I’m looking forward to it.” McFadden finished 11th in last year’s Ironman 55 and will be looking to improve on that mark.
McFadden and the Highlands team have been consistent in Pennsylvania but will look for more speed in the Midwest. McFadden is coming off another weather-hindered weekend with rain allowing the team to compete only once, a respectable sixth place finish during Port Royal’s Living Legends Dream Race.
Following Pevely, McFadden will conclude his United States tour at the famed Knoxville Raceway for the Capitani Classic and Knoxville Nationals. Last year, McFadden qualified for his first career Knoxville Nationals A-Main, before mechanical issues sidelined him before the green flag flew, and will look to build of that this year.
First and foremost, McFadden wants to thank everyone involved with the Highlands Tire No. 3 that allows him to run such a demanding United States schedule.
