Danny Dietrich Back In All Star Sprint Victory Lane; Wins At Lebanon Valley
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – For the eighth time in 2017, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich visited victory lane, this time for car owner Tom Buch during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition at the Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, New York.
It was Dietrich’s first Arctic Cat All Star victory of the 2017 season, scoring $7,000 for his efforts after leading all 25 circuits around the high banked, half-mile oval on Sunday, July 30.
For Dietrich, the victory was his second Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions top-five finish of the recent weekend, also finishing fourth for Tom Buch at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, New York, on Friday, July 28.
“This was a really special win,” said Dietrich regarding his victory at Lebanon Valley Speedway. “I can’t thank Tom Buch enough. This was his first All Star win as a car owner. I’m glad I could be the one to make that happen for him.”
Between his Arctic Cat All Star starts in New York, “Double-D” visited the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, July 29. Back in the driver’s seat of the familiar Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Carlisle Auto Salvage/CATS Used Truck Parts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Bowman Block & Head Repair/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48, Dietrich finished 11th during the Living Legends Dream Race, qualifying for the $10,000-to-win program by winning the first of two semi-features worth $2,000.
Feeding off of his successful weekend, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will now travel west, set to enter three major events during a nine day stretch in Missouri and Iowa, two of which against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
Danny Dietrich will enter the Ironman 55 at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday, August 4-5, followed by the Capitani Classic at Knoxville (IA) Raceway on Sunday, August 6, all capped off with the 5-hour ENERGY Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway on August 9-12.
