RPW’s “Hot Mic” With Olden Dwyer
Story By: RYAN HILL / RPW – BENNINGTON VT – Olden “The Young Gun” Dwyer pilots the #88 Big Block Modified and 358 Modified weekly at Lebanon Valley Speedway. We checked in with Olden to see how the season is going at The Valley, as well as his recent trip to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park.
OLDEN ON HIS LEBANON VALLEY SEASON SO FAR:
“I think our season at Lebanon Valley has been good so far with the Small Block Modified. We have one win so far, and we are sitting 5th in points. The Big Block Modified program is getting there… We knew it would be an experiment with our motor program, but I think we have it dialed in pretty close now.”
“Finishing 2nd a couple of weeks ago really boosted our confidence, we just need to get the big block hooked up when it gets slick. We are getting close though. We have a great team, and we are looking forward to the rest of the 2017 season, and what it has to bring.”
On Sunday Olden and the 88 team ventured out to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, with a crate sportsman. It was the tracks first night of racing under their new leadership team, and a good night for the 88 team.
OLDEN ON RACING GLEN RIDGE THIS WEEKEND:
“The main difference is that I had to change my driving style a little bit. In the crate cars you have to keep your momentum going, and the car turning. I love racing no matter what I am in, and I liked Glen Ridge a lot. Rob Hazer put on a great show; I have to thank Jakob and Todd Volpi for giving me a great car for out first time there.”
Olden races next this Saturday at Lebanon Valley Speedway with his #88 Big and Small Block Modifieds.
