New York Trip On Deck For TJ Michael

Michael will now begin preparations for a three-day sweep through The Empire State, joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at three different dirt ovals beginning Friday evening, July 28.
Michael, who is in the midst of a second, full season with Tony Stewart’s All Stars, will visit Outlaw Speedway, Orange County Fair Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway during his trek through New York, chasing a total winner’s share equaling $22,000; $5,000 at Outlaw Speedway on Friday, July 28; $10,000 at Orange County Fair Speedway on Saturday, July 29; and $7,000 at Lebanon Valley Speedway on Sunday, July 30.
“There is a lot on the line this weekend. I’d like to put ourselves in position to battle for one of those big paydays,” Michael said, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Kear’s Speed Shop/Shell Shock/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Crown Battery/No. 8M. “We’ve been slowly building rhythm. We are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to race for a lot of purse money during our trip to New York, so the obvious plan is to take full advantage of that opportunity.”
T.J. Michael will enter the weekend sixth in the current Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings, just one point shy of a top-five birth. The Plano, Texas, native finished 20th, 18th and 17th during I-79 Summer Shootout competition, respectively; 20th during A-main competition after winning the evening’s B-main at Eriez (PA) Speedway; 18th at Tri-City (PA) Raceway Park; and 17th during the 30-lap, I-79 Summer Shootout finale on Monday evening at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.
