Marks Begins Trek East With Attica Raceway Park & Eldora Visits
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – ATTICA, OH – After a few weeks of crisscrossing much of the Midwest, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks will now begin to make his way back toward home, first visiting facilities in Ohio before reuniting with his Central Pennsylvania fan base.
Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19, will begin his trek back east with the annual Brad Doty Classic at Attica (OH) Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 11, followed by a three-night campaign at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The 34th Annual Kings Royal will highlight competition at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, kicking-off with two preliminary programs, Jokers Wild and the Knight Before the Kings Royal, on Thursday and Friday, July 13-14. The $50,000-to-win, Kings Royal weekend finale will take shape on Saturday, July 15.
Marks qualified for the 2016 edition of the Kings Royal out of 60 entries, finishing 16th during A-main competition.
“We are pumped to get back to Attica Raceway Park and Eldora Speedway,” Brent Marks explained. “This marks the start of a very busy stretch of races, some of which close to our home shop. Attica is a fun place to race, and Eldora Speedway obviously has a lot of history. We qualified for the Kings Royal last year, so our plan is to do that again.”
Brent Marks will enter the Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park 12th in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series standings, earning 11 top-ten finishes to date.
During recent World of Outlaws competition, the 2017 Rookie of the Year contender finished 18th and 24th during starts at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, highlighting all of his most recent starts with an 11th place performance at Deer Creek (MN) Speedway on Thursday, July 6.
