Kiddie Rides Highlight Huge Night At Five Mile Point Saturday

Story By: ANDREW HARPELL / FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY – KIRKWOOD, NY – The family fun continues this Saturday at Five Mile Point Speedway for the annual “Kiddie Rides” night at the speedway.

This Saturday is also Norwich Community Night which means all town resident’s that present photo I.D. at the box office will be admitted in to the grandstand absolutely FREE! Kiddie Rides begin at 5:45 p.m. with racing set to get underway at 6:30 p.m.

The annual “Kiddie Rides” has been a tradition for generations at Five Mile Point Speedway. Beginning at 5:45 p.m. kids will be able to hop inside one of the race cars and take a slow lap around the speedway. This is also great fun for the youngsters as they get an up close look at the cars and what it feels to take a slow lap around the speedway.

Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. this Saturday as the second half of the season swings in to session. The Modified division has still yet to see a repeat winner and the racing has been incredible all season long. Tyler Siri from Corning, NY is the current Modified point leader.

Joining the Modifieds this Saturday will be the Crate Sportsman, Street Stocks, Lightning Cats, Factory Stocks and Slingshots.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m., grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. with warmups set for 5:15 p.m. Kiddie Rides begin at 5:45 p.m. Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m.
