Jared Miley Eyes $5,100 At Marion Center Speedway
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JARED MILEY RACING – MARION CENTER, PA – Entering the weekend as one of the nation’s top super late model competitors, ranked no. 25 on Dirt On Dirt’s latest national late model poll, “The Jet” Jared Miley eyes another major prize during his 2017 campaign, this time at Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, July 29.
Miley, who is a five-time winner during super late model competition in 2017 – most recently scoring a Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week main event victory at Muskingum County (OH) Speedway worth $3,000 – will aim for $5,100 during his visit to the Indiana County, 1/4-mile oval; his first visit of the season.
Although far from a frequent flyer, the Pittsburgh native is certainly no stranger to Marion Center Speedway, scoring a pair of victories during weekly competition in 2017.
“We’ve been having a strong year, and it has been a fun year so far, too. When the results are positive, it’s easy to have fun,” Jared Miley explained. “This is definitely a family effort. It’s not always easy, that’s for sure. My brother and I still maintain full-time jobs on top of our racing schedule, so that requires us to run back and forth between work and the track. It’s been paying off so far. As long as we keep doing what we’ve been doing, I don’t see the success going away.”
Headlined as their biggest event of the season, Marion Center Speedway expects a stout field of local and regional talent for their 51-lap, “Golden Anniversary” program. “The Thrill On The Hill” has been in operation since 1966.
