Cory Haas Will Return To Port Royal For Dream Race

Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / TRONE OUTDOOR MOTORSPORTS – YORK, PA – After a four-year hiatus from racing at Juniata County’s big half-mile, Cory Haas and the Trone Outdoor Motorsports team headed to Port Royal during Pennsylvania Speedweek. Before lining up for the feature, Haas stated, “This is probably the best racing surface I’ve raced on all year. Smooth and wide, what more could you ask for.”

He vowed it wouldn’t be long before he returned and he stuck to his word. Haas, who currently sits 4th in the Lincoln Speedway point standings, will head to Port Royal this Saturday for the Annual Living Legends Dream Race.

Haas and John Trone have had an up and down maiden season together, showing a lot of speed at Lincoln, but still looking for results elsewhere. Haas has seven top-fives in 13 features at Lincoln this year. The Living Legends Dream Race features a unique format with qualifying time trials setting up a pair of full payout semi-feature races that lineup the front ten rows of the $10,000 to win finale. “We’re looking forward to getting back to Port. We are looking for more speed at the beginning of the night so we don’t bury ourselves when the features roll out,” Haas said.

Weather permitting, Haas and the Trone team will be at Williams Grove Friday as well.
