Armstrong To March Through The Empire State With All Star Sprints
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CALEB ARMSTRONG RACING – NEW CASTLE, IN – Officially closing down the month of July, New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong will continue his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign with a New York triple-header on July 28-30.
Comprised of events at Outlaw Speedway, Orange County Fair Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway, the three race sweep through The Empire State will award a combined winner’s share equaling $22,000; $5,000 at Outlaw Speedway, $10,000 at Orange County Fair Speedway, and $7,000 at Lebanon Valley Speedway. Armstrong will be a first timer at all three New York ovals, continuing his hunt for an Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions main event victory.
“We are all pretty pumped to travel to New York. There is a lot of money up for grabs this weekend,” Armstrong said. “These are all new tracks to me. I’ve heard a lot about them, so I have an idea what to expect. I think the plan is to just keep doing what we’ve been doing and work to be consistent.”
Armstrong will enter the high profile weekend with a trio of recent Arctic Cat All Star starts to his credit, highlighting results with a tenth place finish during I-79 Summer Shootout competition at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Monday, July 24. Other recent results include charging from 25th to 15th at Eriez (PA) Speedway on Friday, July 21, as well as earning a 12th place performance at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, July 23.
The pilot of the Baker Crop Insurance/Neal Metal Recycling/All-Star Performance/No. 7C will enter the weekend third in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions driver standings, earning 13 top-ten finishes in 28 feature starts.
