Caleb Armstrong finished third in his heat race, lining him up 14th on the main event starting grid. From there, the New Castle, Indiana, native methodically worked his forward through the field to a solid sixth place finish; his 11th top-ten finish of the 2017 season.

The Series returns to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, July 8, for the Lou Blaney Memorial. Heading into the event, Armstrong sits third in Series points. During Ohio Sprint Speedweek’s visit to Sharon, Armstrong showed speed in the feature but fell a lap down to NASCAR phenom Kyle Larson and elected to not race the leader back. “We just needed to get going earlier,” Armstrong said of his last visit to Sharon.
