Action Track USA Races Back Into Action This Wednesday
Story By: JAY DUGAN / ACTION TRACK USA – KUTZTOWN, PA – Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and no one misses racing action more than fans of JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA. Thankfully for them, they’ll get the chance to race back into Action Track USA this Wednesday, July 12, when the roar of racing engines will once again fill the Kutztown Fairgrounds.
A full card of racing action is presented by AEI Equipment Inc. in Tamaqua, PA. The SpeedSTR and Slingshot divisions are on tap, along with, the 4th Annual Tri-Track Challenge for the Hyper Racing 600 Sprint Cars.
“I’m especially excited about the second half of our racing season,” Track Promoter Doug Rose stated. “The race teams have had an opportunity to replenish their energy and enjoy some summer weather – but now it’s time to get back to racing and countdown to our late season special events and the road to the Championship titles.”
The first stop on the highway to championship glory is the Tri-Track Challenge for the 600 Sprint Cars. The winner of this 25-lap event will not only garner the largest portion of Tri-Track Challenge points but will take home a lucrative $1,000 payday – if they test their skills with the Gambler’s Fee.
The July 12 event marks the second of three Tri-Track Challenge races that include events at Lanco’s Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway, Action Track USA, and crowns a champion on Friday, July 14 at Linda’s Speedway.
Bear, DE’s Kyle Spence currently leads the Tri-Track Challenge point standings with Action Track USA winners Jason Swavely and Jim Radney following close behind. With cash bonuses available and product available to winners, the battle to be the 2017 Tri-Track Challenge Champion is fierce.
JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA’s premier division, the USAC All-Pro SpeedSTRs are back in action. You’ll find Tim Buckwalter in a comfortable spot, maintaining an 185-point lead over second-place contender Billy Pauch Jr. Buckwalter, the 2016 USAC National Series Champion, looks to dethrone the Pauch-driven/Mike Heffner-owned combination – who individually have claimed the past three Action Track USA Championships, before combining their efforts.
The Slingshot Championship battle heats up with Dylan Hoch leading Seth Spayd by a slim 100-point margin. Both drivers have been consistent throughout the season, but a mid-season charge by Alex Yankowski could make the difference in the second half of 2017.
Racing resumes at JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA on Wednesday, July 12. Pit Gates open at 4 PM, Grandstand Gates open at 5 PM, Hot Laps start at 6:15 PM and the first Green Flag drops at 7:05 PM.
