Brent Marks Earns WoO Hard Charger At West Liberty Raceway
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – WEST LIBERTY, IA – World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year contender Brent Marks drove his way to another top-ten performance during the recent weekend, climbing a total of seven positions on Friday evening, June 23, at West Liberty (IA) Raceway to secure an eighth place finish. Marks’ charge through the field was strong enough to lock down KSE Hard Charger Award honors.
Other recent World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series results includes finishing 20th after starting 24th at Beaver Dam (WI) Raceway on Saturday, June 24. Marks also finished 14th at Granite City (MN) Speedway on Tuesday, June 20.
“If we’ve learned one thing while being on the road, it’s the ability to advance through the field,” Brent Marks stated. “There are still some places we struggle at, but I blame that on lack of better experience. We’ll have a solid baseline when we return to these places in the future.”
Brent Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19, will continue his World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series rookie campaign with three more events in five days between June 27 and July 1. The “Myerstown Missile” will visit The Dirt Oval (IL) at Route 66 on Tuesday, Deer Creek (MN) Speedway on Thursday, and Dakota State Fair (SD) Speedway on Saturday.
