CJB Motorsports Add’s Three Top-10’s; All Star Circuit Heading To PA With Big Money On The Line
Story By: NATALIE JACKSON / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – In a week of two drivers, one theme remained the same for CJB Motorsports.
Buddy Kofoid took his first turn aboard the #5 machine as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series took to Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway on Tuesday, May 18th. Kofoid timed in 9th, finished 3rd in his heat race and 10th in the feature.
Veteran Paul McMahan returned to the seat of the RE Pierson Constructions, Nyce, Crete and Landis Block and Concrete, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape and High Performance Lubricants #5 for a string of four Flo Racing All Star Circuit of Champions tour events.
Up first was a double header at Circle City Speedway in Indianapolis, Ind. On the first night (Thursday, May 20th), McMahan timed in 19th, finished 5th in his heat race and 17th in the feature. The following night, McMahan timed in 12th, won his heat race, finished 3rd in the dash and 6th in the feature.
After Circle City, the tour moved to Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway on Saturday, May 22nd. McMahan timed in 16th, finished 6th in his heat race, 3rd in the B-main and then charged from 23rd to 16th in the A main.
The weekend culminated with a stop at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway on Sunday, May 23rd. McMahan timed in 7th, finished 4th in his heat race and 10th in the A main.
With that, CJB drivers scored three top-10’s in five events.
The CJB team will be in action close to home with event at Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Friday, May 28th with the Bob Weikert Memorial on Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th. The, “Weikert,” will be contested at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway.
