Jared Umbenhauer Scores In Modified Action Saturday At Grandview Speedway

Story By: GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – After finishing second to point leader Brett Kressley last Saturday Jared Umbenhauer was able to charge to victory in the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified feature which is part of the national Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

The Richland, PA racer, a three time Sportsman champion (2012,13,14) was able to hold off 11 time track champion Craig Von Dohren who was fresh off a win on Thursday night. Young Louden Reimert came home third in an impressive run followed by Duane Howard and Kevin Graver.

Brett Kressley, the Modified point leader going into the night’s events, finished eighth.

In the 25-lapper for T.P.TruckEquipment Sportsman the win was earned by defending champion Brian Hirthler topping a 26 car field with Kyle Smith second followed by Jesse Landis, Kyle Lilick and Lex Shive.

Earning a bonus as top finishing Crate Sportsman was Jimmy Leiby.

The third feature of the night had the Outlaw Series Vintage Racers in action with Todd Lapp listed as the winner of the Modified feature.

Next up at Grandview is the May 1st doubleheader featuring the NASCAR Auto Parts Weekly Series with the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Racing starts at a new weekly time of 7:30 p.m. for the balance of the season.
