Brock Zearfoss’ World Of Outlaws Season Kicks Off Friday At Volusia Speedway Park
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – In traditional Outlaw fashion, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing (BZR) will launch their 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the annual DIRTcar Nationals.
The event will take place at Volusia Speedway Park on Friday through Sunday, February 5-7, kicking-off a Series schedule that will see the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native crisscross much of the United States, on more than one occasion, over the next ten months.
The Outlaws will hit it hard during the month of February, next setting aim on a pair of stops in Georgia and Alabama on February 12-13.
“I’m excited to get the year rolling,” Zearfoss said, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car. “We got the year started officially at Screven, but we didn’t have the overall result we were working toward. Regardless, it was a good way to shake some rust off before our Outlaw season gets going on Friday.”
Zearfoss launched his year aboard the BZR No. 3Z with a one night stop at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia, on Saturday, January 30, joining the All Star Circuit of Champions for the Winter Freeze finale awarding a $10,000 top prize. The “Jonestown Jet” got the evening underway with the 18th-fastest time during time trials, eventually qualifying for the 35-lap main event with a fifth-place performance during his respective heat race. A mishap during the evening’s feature led to an unfortunate 17th-place score; there were 38 cars in attendance.
Despite a tough start to his year, the reigning Western Australia Speedweek champion will enter his rookie campaign with the Greatest Show On Dirt with a full head of steam.
“I can’t thank my team enough for all of their hard work this off-season,” Zearfoss added. “My guys always bust their butts and I’m excited to take on the best in the world every night with them. Our goal is to represent all of our partners at the highest level possible. I’m more than confident we have what it takes to accomplish all of our goals”
