Michael Maresca Takes 358-Mod Main Event Win Saturday At BAPS Motor Speedway
Story By: KALI LANDIS / BAPS MOTOR SPEEDWAY – YORK HAVEN, PA – In the 30-Lap Modified main event, Michael Maresca won an entertaining battle with Frank Cozze and Billy Pauch Jr. to take the victory.
Cozze started on the pole and led the first two circuits before Pauch took over for the next nine laps. Cozze didn’t go away and retook the lead on Lap 12, with Pauch and the fast-closing Maresca in striking distance.
Maresca, who started seventh on the grid, was running third on Lap 23. One lap later, he shot past Pauch and Cozze to take over the lead.
Once out front, Maresca drove away to the 2.884-second victory. Pauch passed Cozze for second, with Danny Bouc and Ryan Watt completing the top five.
Wes Kellison dominated the 50-Lap Small-Car Enduro after falling back to fourth in the early stages. He took the lead back on Lap 17 and won the event by 8.999 seconds.
In the 50-Lap Big-Car Enduro, Brandon Guyer took the lead on Lap 19 and beat Travis Guyer to the stripe.
