Alex Yankowski Wins It For “The Pimp;” Takes Danny Serrano 100 At Bridgeport, Then Flips
Information By: BRIDGEPORT MOTORSPORTS PARK – SWEDESBORO, NJ – Alex Yankowski sure made the Danny Serrano 100 at the Bridgeport Motorsports Park memorable…in more ways than one.
Yankowski took home the 100-lap feature win and the $10,000 top prize honoring “the Pimp.” After taking the checkers, the young driver went an extra lap. Off turn 4, a couple of lap cars wrecked. Yankowski hoped a wheel, stayed on the gas, hit the fence and went for a ride, rolling his #84 over.
The car briefly caught fire but safety crews quickly extinguished the flames. It was then towed to the scales and after that, victory lane.
Ryan Watt came home in second with Ryan Godown, Danny Bouc and Jeff Strunk completing the top five.
In the companion 602 Sportsman event, it was Steve Davis taking the win followed by Stephen Kemery, Payton Talbot, Dan Fleming and Ryan Simmons.
Scott Riggleman took home the make-up 4/8 Cylinder feature with Justin Dunn capturing the regularly-scheduled main.
