Danny Dietrich Scores Top-Tens During Visits To Williams Grove & Selinsgrove Speedways

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GARY KAUFFMAN RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – Two more starts resulted in another pair of top-ten finishes for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania’s Danny Dietrich, this time scoring ninth and sixth-place outcomes during visits to Williams Grove Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway, respectively.

The defending Williams Grove Speedway track champion, and recent Selinsgrove Speedway PA Sprint Speedweek main event winner, now owns a whopping 46 top-ten finishes in 2020, 31 of which scored inside the top-five.

Dietrich was battling for a top-five during Williams Grove’s Outlaw Tuneup on Friday when the driver of the familiar No. 48 was forced to take evasive action, completing a 360-degree spin to miss being involved in a caution; “Double-D” finished ninth.

The following evening during Selinsgrove Speedway’s $20,000-to-win National Open, Dietrich rallied from 11th to finish sixth.

“It’s all about getting ready for Williams Grove’s National Open,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, No. 48 sprint car. “This is what we’ve been working toward. Ever since they announced they’ll be paying $75,000, that race has been on our minds and taking up much of our focus. I’m ready to get things going and I’m sure my team will say the same.”

Featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, Williams Grove Speedway’s annual National Open will headline action at the world-famous paperclip on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3. Saturday’s 40-lap finale will award a $75,000 payday.
