Column: Brockville’s Northeast Fall Nationals Next On Jessica Power’s ’20 Schedule
Column By: JIM CLARKE / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – Whether on the national stage or weekly short track, every racer loves signing for the first-place prize money after the checkered flag.
Winning one of the sport’s marquee events is just as important and combining both elements in front of family and friends is the icing on the cake.
With events going on less than an hour from her front door, Kingston’s Jessica Power is excited about this weekend’s Northeast Fall Nationals at Brockville Speedway.
“This season has been very strange to say the least,” Jessica Power said. “We’ve raced a total of 13 shows so far, where our original schedule would have had about 45 dates by this point. We appreciate that local tracks like Brockville have stepped-up and put together these shows, otherwise we’d be sidelined for the entire season.”
Looking ahead to 2021, Jessica Power says she hopes to make some changes to the team’s weekly program. While we appreciate the hospitality Fulton Speedway has shown us on Saturday nights, we are looking to race a little closer to home next year. Our plans are still to travel extensively throughout the season, but we will use Brockville Speedway as our home track.
