Tony Stewart Finds Podium With All Star Circuit Of Champions At Plymouth Speedway

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TONY STEWART RACING – BROWNSBURG, IN – Two weekend starts resulted in a pair of top-ten performances for three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, Tony Stewart, doing so during All Star Circuit of Champions competition at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, and Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana.

The Columbus, Indiana-native highlighted his weekend outing with a runner-up performance at Plymouth, kicking-off his evening in the Hoosier State with a runner-up finish during heat race competition.

By way of dash result, Smoke started fifth on Plymouth’s feature grid and charged his way to second with only four laps checked off the counter. Despite having the speed to challenge race leader, Aaron Reutzel, early on in the 35-lapper, the Texas-native’s pace proved to be too strong for the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing entry.

Before his podium result at the northern Indiana bullring, Stewart joined the traveling All Stars, as well as the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series, at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, and finished sixth; another competitive effort after lining up 11th on the A-Main grid. A runner-up finish during heat race action secured Stewart’s A-Main spot.
