Duane Howard, Brad Brightbill Collect Feature Event Wins Saturday At Grandview

Information By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Defending T.P.Trailers NASCAR Modified champion Duane Howard drove to his first win of the season on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

Howard went to the front early in the 30-lap Modified feature race and held off challenges from Doug Manmiller and point leader Craig Von Dohren. The three finished in that order topping a starting field of 29 cars.

Past champion Brad Brightbill was able to wheel to his first T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman feature win. Finishing second in the 25-lap main event was Mike Mammana.

Following the top three in the Modified feature, part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, were Briggs Danner and Ryan Grim. Sixth through 10th place finishes were earned by Kevin Hirthler, Kenny Gilmore, Jared Umbenhauer, Dillon Steuer and Justin Grim.

Crossing the finish line third in the Sportsman feature was Mark Kemmerer followed by Decker Swinehart and point leader Brian Hirthler. Sixth through 10th went to Jesse Landis, Kyle Smith, Cole Stangle, B J Joly and Nate Brinker.
Coming up on Saturday, August 15th, is a tripleheader show featuring the T.P.Trailers NASCAR Modifieds, T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman and Outlaw Vintage racers. Spectator gets open at 5:30 pm. With the first racing event getting the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission for the tripleheader is $15 while youngsters under 12 are admitted free.

On Saturday, August 22, another exciting doubleheader with Modifieds and Sportsman. And then on Saturday, August 29, Excel 600 Modifieds are combined with the Mods and Sportsman for another exciting tripleheader.
