Dietrich Wins Gentzler Memorial For 50th Victory At Lincoln; Knoxville Start Ahead

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GARY KAUFFMAN RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich is on a roll, scoring his fourth Central Pennsylvania victory in as many starts during the annual Hank Gentzler Memorial at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday evening, August 8.

The win, resulting in a $4,000 payday, was Dietrich’s fourth in the Pigeon Hills this season, as well as his 50th all-time at the speedway.

Lining up seventh on the feature grid, Dietrich was far from distracted and made moves in a hurry. By lap 24, Dietrich was all over Freddie Rahmer for the race lead, utilizing a slider at the entrance of turn one to drive up across his Lincoln Speedway rival, eventually exiting turn two at the top of the speedway and in command.

Dietrich was scheduled to be in action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 7, but Mother Nature had other plans.

“We’re on a roll right now and the plan is to keep this going, especially with starts at Knoxville Raceway just around the corner,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car. “I can’t thank this team enough. We work hard during the week so we can put results like this together on the weekend. That’s what it’s all about. Hopefully we can turn some good results this weekend Iowa.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with the One And Only featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Knoxville Raceway on August 13-15. Dubbed the Capitani Classic, the Saturday night finale will award a $50,000 top prize.
