Brett Putnam & Devin Pierce Split Slingshot Twin 20’s At Caroga Creek RacePark
Story By: TOBY LAGRANGE / CAROGA CREEK RACEPARK – EPHRATAH, NY – This past Saturday afternoon was double feature day at the Caroga Creek RacePark. All classes ran twin feature events as well as a heat race on what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Western Fulton County.
When all was said and done 14 different drivers came home with feature wins.
In the Slingshot division Brett Putnam picked up the first 20 lap event with Devin Pierce coming home second. The second feature event for the Slingshots would see Pierce pick up his first career feature win in the division with Putnam finishing second.
The Wing Champ Karts would see Steve Rothwein nip Ronnie Smith at the line by less than a bumper to pick up the win in the first 20 lap event. The second event would see Smith take the checkered flag over David Herrick, II.
The Caroga Creek RacePark returns to action this Saturday afternoon at 1 PM with a complete show of Slingshots and Karts. Gates open at 9 AM with practice starting at 11 AM. Due to New York State Regulations no spectators are allowed at this time.
