Weekly Card Plus 15-Lap Warriors Trophy Special On Tap This Saturday At Woodhull
Story By: STEVEN OVENS / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – This week at Woodhull Raceway, the youngest generation of Woodhull racers take center stage.
The Big Jim’s Wicked Tees Warriors will race a 15 Lap Trophy Special thanks to a donation of trophies from a dedicated member of the motorsports community. This will push the Front Wheel Drive 30 Lap special back a few weeks with a date to be determined.
The Tractor/Truck pulls scheduled for late July have also been cancelled. There are no plans at this time to race on that vacated night on the schedule. Schedule changes will be posted on our website and on social media if changes to the schedule become necessary.
Popular Southern Tier bar and restaurant, the Nikk L Brew, is prepared to present this weekend’s racing activities at Woodhull Raceway. Located on Main Street in downtown Canisteo, NY, Nikk L Brew is well known for their great atmosphere, pizza/wing specials, Friday fish fry, Prime Rib specials and some of the most satisfying entrees this side of the PA border.
Owned by new Woodhull Raceway owners Terry and Nikki Brewer, Nikk L Brew invites your family to stop in and see what everyone else is talking about! Nikk L Brew is closed on Saturdays until October now that race season is in full swing.
This week’s program will feature all weekly divisions including the Insinger Performance Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, Cummings Trucking Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks, Wicked Tees Mini Stocks, Johnson Auto Front Wheel Drives and the Wicked Tees Warriors.
The Pits will open at 3:30PM with the driver’s meeting scheduled for 5:45PM at the pit shack. Hot Laps will fire off at 6PM and the first green flag from Tony Van Pelt will fly at 6:30PM.
