Mohawk International Raceway Cancels Entire 2020 Regular Schedule Of Events
Information By: MOHAWK INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY – HOGANSBURG, NY – The Mohawk International Raceway recognizes the uncertain and challenging environment all areas of our community are facing during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
As a hard decision, our representatives have decided to cancel the 2020 regularly-scheduled season of racing.
Along with the closing of the U.S/Canadian border, we share the disappointment as much as our fans, staff and race teams are feeling right now.
Moving forward, MIR would like to provide the chance for local teams surrounding Akwesasne to be able to get in a few races in the late summer and fall months.
As we work to plan those races, we will work alongside the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on a proposed event within strict guidelines to assess a plan to have possible events in 2020.
In the meantime, we will continue to inform all of our dedicated racers and fans.
