Kevin Hirthler Takes Mod Main Saturday At Grandview; Brad Arnold Wins Firecracker 40 For Sportsman

Information By: ERNIE SAXTON / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Kevin Hirthler was able to grab the top spot in the 30-lap feature for the T.P.Trailers NASCAR Modifieds Saturday night at Grandview Speedway, just nosing out Jared Umbenhauer and Doug Manmiller who were battling side by side at the finish for second and third.

Tim Buckwalter, winner of the opening night Bruce Rogers Memorial, grabbed fourth followed by Craig VonDohren who came from 22nd starting spot.

Young Brad Arnold was able to hold off a talented field of 24 racers and drive to victory in the Firecracker 40 T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman race at Saturday night.

The 40-lap race, the biggest event of the season for the Sportsman, earned Arnold $2,000 for his efforts.

Finishing close behind Arnold was veteran Brian Hirthler followed by Ryan Beltz, Mark Kemmerer and Kyle Lillick.

Jim Leiby finished sixth and received a $150 bonus from W*T*F as the top finishing crate sportsman, along with $100 crate bonus from Grandview Speedway.
