The Lernerville Speedway Roars Back To Life Friday Night With Test & Tune

Story By: GARY HEEMAN / LERNERVILLE SPEEDWAY – SARVER, PA – In the interest of acting in compliance with government limitations for the green phase of re-opening, the Tomson Family is excited to announce that the Action Track will be lit up for the first time in 2020 with a Test & Tune practice session this Friday, June 12 2020.

At this time there will be “no spectators at the venue” per provisions of the PA Green Phase of Re-Opening, our grandstands will be closed to fans, but we will be livestreaming the rotating practices sessions on Facebook Live!

Being that we are limited to people on the speedway grounds in the green phase, race teams will be limited to five total members; including the driver. This will be monitored and enforced. Haulers will be spaced 12 feet apart. Cars will participate in a series of rotating hot laps. Any type of car may take part in the Test and Tune session.

Prior to purchasing pit passes, all drivers and crew will be required to complete and submit a COVID-19 waiver that is posted on our website Lernerville.com, as well as Facebook page.

All drivers and crew whom are able to attend will need to sign their waiver in front of a track official and receive a temperature scan. Any driver or crew member who is not wearing a mask when presenting at the pit window will be denied admission to the pit area.

A limited number of hard copies will be available at the track, but to expedite the entry process, drivers, crew members, and employees are encouraged to print and fill it out at home to bring with you. Tech officials will be onsite to assist with questions and perform inspections.

Race teams are required to practice social distancing by remaining at the trailer/hauler when the car is there, but are welcome to sit in the pit bleachers or stand along the fences while their car is on the track. Masks are required for drivers and crew outside the hauler and in common areas and required at all times for employees. Extra hand sanitizer stations will be set up around the speedway grounds.

Pit gates will open at 5 PM with hot laps starting at 6 PM on Friday. Pit passes will be available for $25 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members. DIRTcar memberships will be available for purchase at the track.

Cold drinks and bagged snacks will be available for purchase in the pit concession stand. Plans for next Friday, June 19 are still yet to be determined.
