Garrett Krummert Makes Way To Victory Lane At Lernerville Speedway Friday

Information By: GARY HEEMAN / LERNERVILLE SPEEDWAY – SARVER, PA – Garrett Krummert managed to keep a hard charging set of drivers behind him Friday evening at the Lernerville Speedway.

Just as they appeared they were catching him in lapped traffic, Krummert navigated the surface as well as can be done and found a way to keep both Rex King Jr. and Dave Murdick at bay in collecting the victory, his second of the 2020 campaign.

Murdick was second followed by defending track champion Brian Swartzlander in third. The Kings, Rex Jr. and Rex Sr, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Mother nature was indeed a race fan on Friday night as the 2020 schedule of racing at the speedway unfolded with 81 cars in the pits.

Early evening rainfall avoided The Action Track allowing for the full Fab4 Friday Revved up with Marburger Farm Dairy weekly racing program to grace the surface for the first time this year. And when the dust settled, familiar faces found themselves in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane.

Jack Sodeman Jr. wired the field of Peoples Natural Gas DIRTcar Sprint in convincing fashion, holding off stiff challenges from Brandon Spithaler and Carl Bowser in the closing laps to seal the first win of his 2020 season.

In the Precise Racing DIRTcar Late Models, Russ King ran his opening night winning streak to two with an impressive feature victory, pulling out the win with a late race pass of leader Matt Lux.

In Millerstown Pic-a-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks, a familiar face wound up on top of the podium as Mike Miller managed to hold off an oncoming Joey Zambotti in the closing laps to secure his first feature win at Lernerville since 2015.
