Dirt Track Heroes Event Returns To Palmer Park Mall In 2021; Tentative Dates Set
Story By: JUSTIN BELTRAME / DIRT TRACK HEROES – EASTON, PA – The 14th Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will proudly return in 2021 with the event again taking place at the Palmer Park Mall in Easton, PA.
Tentative show dates are March 5, 6 and 7. The show will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday following the success of the event this year.
An interesting point about this show is that it is absolutely FREE for the viewing public across all three days.
Some 85 race cars filled the Palmer Park Mall with numerous activities showcasing the fun-filled weekend. Activities included a Tire Change Competition, the Premio Sausage Eating Challenge, Slot Car Racing, RC Car Racing and a long list of racing celebrity interviews with special guests and racing videos going on throughout the Dirt Track Heroes Show Room.
It has become a great social gathering for the racing community, bringing together the many legends of our local auto racing scene, current day stars and as always, a salute to the youthful talent looking to break into the sport at a very young age. It is very heart-warming to watch the kids take to the microphone for their very first interview as a racing celebrity.
Numerous vendors were at the show and provided very positive feedback for the event that made its’ first presentation at the Palmer Park Mall. The many food locations in the Mall were especially busy and the buzz for the Mall merchants was especially positive. Looking to the 2021 show, we hope to further engage many if not all the stores to get more involved in the event.
The over-whelming request from the vendors was to open the Friday portion of the show when the Mall opens at 10 AM, verses opening the show at 4 PM. This will allow to accommodate increased traffic show.
The event honored many including legendary modified driver/promoter Doug Hoffman, Steve and Ed Pados along with Billy Tanzosh being recognized by the Mayor of Nazareth. One of the event highlights was the big turnout for the stars of Dorney Park Speedway.
The Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Car Show will expand to fully utilize the Show Room (formerly BON-TON). We have early verbal commitments from the Flemington Historical Society and the Tri-State Organization to be part of this event in 2021. These two groups bring so much to the event and we are thrilled that they are looking to be part of the 2021 edition of Dirt Track Heroes.
A special thank you is extended to all the sponsors who made this event possible to include Quaker Steak & Lube, IRCO Credit Union, Thunder on the Hill Racing Series, Premio Foods, Dirt Track 187 Media, Smith Fabrications, Snyder Videos, ARM Automotive, Moe Pagni, APS Powder Coating, Murante Auto Repair Shop, Carl’s Auto Repair, Smitty’s Collision Center, Jeff’s Automotive Service, Hamlin Speedway, Snyderville Raceway, Oreville Karts, Blue Mountain, Keystone and West End racing groups.
