Whittall Visits Port Royal For 2020 Season Opener; Port & Williams Grove On Deck For NJ Driver
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JW MOTORSPORTS – VINCENTOWN, NJ – After becoming reacquainted with Port Royal Speedway during a practice session on Saturday, March 7, Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall continued his 2020 campaign with Port Royal Speedway’s season opener on Sunday, March 8.
The afternoon program attracted nearly 50 of the region’s finest including the 2019 All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year, Cory Eliason, the eventual winner of the $5,000 event.
Despite not transferring out of the afternoon’s B-main, forced to compete in the ‘B’ after finishing eighth during his respective heat race, Whittall learned a lot during his two-day visit to Port Royal Speedway and plans to put his notes to good use when he revisits on March 14.
“We can’t pull a good pill to save our life,” Justin Whittall said, driver of the JW Motorsports/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Mid-Atlantic Transport/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “Our luck with heat race starting positions hasn’t been too stellar this year, but that bad luck will eventually change. We learned a lot this weekend, so I’m excited to get back to the track on Saturday and Sunday.”
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2020 campaign with another round of action in the Keystone State, this time visiting the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday, March 14, followed by the Williams Grove Speedway season opener on Sunday, March 15.
