Veteran Modified Racer Mike Colsten Passes Away
It is with great sadness that we pass along the news that veteran Modified campaigner Mike Colsten has passed away.
Colsten was a 2013 inductee into the New York State Stock Car Association Hall of Fame and the DIRT Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2014.
He had been battling health issues for years since he was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer that affects the protective lining of the internal organs of the body.
Even through that battle, he still found a way to get back to the track, and even visit victory lane.
