Tyler Siri & Danny Johnson Form Two-Car Team For Short Track Super Series ‘Sunshine Swing’

Tyler Siri and Danny Johnson have set plans to compete in the inaugural ‘Sunshine Swing’ at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla., February 5-8, 2020. The pair will head south in team cars for the Horseheads, N.Y.-based Tyler Siri Racing at the half-mile oval located approximately one hour to the south and west of Jacksonville.
The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco makes its first trip to Florida at the Wendell Durrance-promoted All-Tech venue.
An open practice on Wednesday, February 5 leads into three nights of STSS Modified racing at All-Tech headlined by $5,000-to-win Modifieds on Thursday, $7,500-to-win on Friday and $10,000 to win on Saturday. Crate 602 Sportsman are on the docket with $1,250-to-win events on Thursday and Friday and $1,500 to win on Saturday.
Siri, the promoter of Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., will bring the two-car operation south to the Sunshine State. Siri is a past winner on Florida soil at Volusia Speedway Park. Siri heads to Florida with his familiar No. 5* machine.
Phelps, N.Y.’s ‘Doctor’ Danny Johnson is a Hall of Fame Modified driver with 593 career wins. Johnson has 13 Sunshine State wins to his credit: 12 at Volusia and one at the now-defunct St. Augustine Speedway. Johnson’s car will adorn his trademark No. 27J.
Siri and Johnson compete as teammates on Friday nights at Outlaw weekly and now take their show on tour to All-Tech Raceway.
