Sponsors Hop On Board To Sweeten The Pot For Teams Entering Short Track Super Series ‘Sunshine Swing’
Story By: BRETT DEYO / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – LAKE CITY, FL – Crate 602 Sportsman racers will be watching the weather even more closely starting in Florida this February.
Thanks to Evergreen Fuels Inc. of Bloomingburg, N.Y., winning drivers in the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Crate 602 Sportsman ranks will see a bump in their winner’s share for the upcoming ‘Sunshine Swing’ and North Region series events.
This is not your traditional pay increase. It will go hand-in-hand with the day’s low temperature.
As a provider of heating oil, on- and off-road diesel and on-site fueling, Evergreen Fuels Inc. serves the Mid-Hudson Valley in New York’s Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties.
Proprietors Bob and Charlene Flood will offer a unique promotion. The Floods will boost the winner’s share at selected events by a dollar amount corresponding with the day’s low temperature as reported by the National Weather Service.
Should the day’s low temperature be 65 degrees, the winner takes home a bonus of $65 for that event.
The Evergreen Fuels Inc. bonus program kicks off when the Short Track Super Series invades Florida Feb. 5-8, 2020 with the inaugural ‘Sunshine Swing’ at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Fla. Each of the three Crate 602 Sportsman winners in the Sunshine State will be benefactors of the program.
Evergreen Fuels Inc. will continue their incentive in the Northeast through the entire STSS Crate 602 Sportsman North Region. The seven-race North Region schedule gets underway on Sunday, May 3 at Five Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood, N.Y.
Though a non-sanctioned event, the companion Crate 602 Sportsman event at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N.Y., as part of the STSS Halmar International Modified North Region ‘Hard Clay Open’ on Sunday, April 19 will be included.
