RPW Column: My First Chili Bowl Nationals…From The Driver’s Seat…Day Six
RPW Column By: DANIEL SANCHEZ / SPECIAL TO RPW – TULSA, OK – Friday was another day of soaking in the enjoyment of the Chili Bowl…allow me to rephrase. It was my final day to be a fan and enjoy everything this event has to offer before it’s go-time and the alphabet soup starts.
Unfortunately, teammate Clint Wilson had some tough luck all day on Friday, but man, was the A-main extremely impressive and fun to watch. Congratulations to Tanner Thorson on the W.
Saturday, it gets serious. Saturday is the day. It’s the real deal…Chili Bowl main event Saturday. The O-Main roles off at 10am central time and we’ll be starting our charge through the soup in second M-Main, starting 10th. The top six advance.
My 16-year-old Mounce Motorsports teammate, Trey Gropp, will make his Chili Bowl charge from the first F-main. I hope to see him there though that will be a tall task for me coming from the M.
I am planning to do a live feed walk through of the arena on Saturday morning. Be sure to check out Daniel Sanchez Racing Fan Page to see that.
This is been an amazing week and I’m so grateful for the entire Mounce Motorsports Team as well as my sponsors, family, and friends for being so supportive through this journey. I appreciate you all more than words can describe.
