Brent Marks Continues Top-Ten WoO Streak With Strong Performance At Port Royal
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRENT MARKS RACING – MYERSTOWN, PA – Continuing his streak of top-ten performances with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks put on an impressive display during his return to the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ during the recent weekend and secured a fifth consecutive top-ten finish, this time advancing from 23rd on the grid to finish tenth, also solidifying Friday evening’s KSE Hard Charger Award for advancing the most feature positions.
Unfortunately, the $15,000-to-win Nittany Showdown finale on Saturday was cancelled due to Mother Nature.
Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car, now owns 25 World of Outlaws top-ten finishes in 2019, one of which the massive National Open victory at Williams Grove Speedway worth $65,000; the largest of Marks’ career and the largest in the history of the speedway.
“We’ve been on a roll lately. It sucks that our schedule is almost over. I’d like some more time to keep this top-ten streak alive,” Brent Marks said, a third-year traveler with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. “I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication. It has been a long season. We’d hate to see it end, but we’ll do our best to end things on a high note.”
Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will end their 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the annual World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina, on Thursday through Saturday, November 7-9. Kicking off with two rounds of qualifying on Thursday, the three-day weekend will conclude with back-to-back $12,000-to-win programs on Friday and Saturday. Marks will enter World Finals action tenth in the championship standings.
