Scott Bloomquist Racing’s Chris Madden Fractures Eye Socket; Will Not Compete This Weekend
Story By: SCOTT BLOOMQUIST RACING – MOORESBURG, TN – Scott Bloomquist Racing has released some very unfortunate news this morning out of Mansfield, Ohio, in regards to their driver of the #0M, Chris Madden.
This morning Chris fell of a golf cart after hitting a bump along the hillside near the pit area. In what appeared to be a simple golf cart accident with a few bumps and bruises has turned out to be much more serious.
Chris was taken to the ER at Avita Hospital In Mansfield at approximately 12:30pm this afternoon.
After being evaluated, at 4:30 this afternoon, we were notified of the seriousness of the injuries.
Chris has a fractured eye socket on his left eye and he will not be able to compete in this weekend’s Dirt Million event at Mansfield Motor Speedway.
Chris is being transported to the Ohio State Hospital In Columbus, approximately 1 hour from the race track and he will be evaluated for an expected surgery on the eye socket.
