Point Races, Ladies Sportsman Dash, Backwards Racing All At Fulton This Saturday
Story By: DAVE MEDLER / FULTON SPEEDWAY – FULTON, NY – There is an old saying, “It’s coming down to the wire,” and that fits the Fulton Speedway as there are only three point races to decide 2019 track champions after a season full of intense battles, surprise winners, new stars and veterans showing they still have what it takes.
This Saturday, August 17 presented by Power Seal Driveway Sealing, the Northeast Racing Products Auction & Trade Show and Regional Truck & Trailer will be a night of the fastest, family affordable fun in Central NY.
Side-by-side racing excitement will feature the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modifieds, DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models and the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman.
The lady Sportsman racers will have a special Sportsman race thanks to former Sportsman racer Matt Becker. $329 purse ‘First Lady of Fulton’ dash for cash will take place on the ‘Highbanks.’
Sportsman racer Tom Juno owner of Power Seal Driveway Sealing will also be having a dash with a very unique format open to the Power Seal Six to compete. Drivers are Tom Juno, Tyler Corcoran, Corey Barker, Dylan Zacharias, Chris Mackey and Alan Fink.
The dash will pay $200 to the winner with all drivers getting paid. The crazy Backwards Dash will see the cars race in the opposite direction on the speedway.
Cars pitting in the midway has been very popular with race fans of all ages. This Saturday, Tom Juno, Tyler Corcoran and Corey Barker will be doing just that so fans can see up close what goes on during a race night.
Adult grandstand admission is $12 with everyone 18 years old and younger is free. Pit admission is $27 Participant, $30 Non-Participant. Grandstands open at 5:00 pm with racing at 7:00 pm.
