Jonathan Preston Takes Second Empire Super Sprints Victory Of 2019 At Albany-Saratoga

Story By: TOM BOGGIE / ALBANY-SARATOGA SPEEDWAY – MALTA, NY – The Empire Super Sprints were on the Hoosier Daddy Father’s Day Weekend card at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway.  Jonathan Preston picked up his second victory of the year in the 25-lap feature.

Preston slid past pole-sitter and early leader Billy Van Inwegen on lap nine to move out on the point, and that’s where he stayed. Preston led Van Inwegen, Jason Barney and Paulie Colagiovanni across the finish line.

“The car was on rails,” said Preston. “I had a lot of close calls, I had a close call with Barney and a close call with [Pete] Richardson, but I guess I was just lucky.
